We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled 6th Grade Teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year. The 6th grade is a pivotal transition year, and we need an educator who loves working with middle school students, mentoring them in their faith, and preparing them for further academic challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership: Act as a spiritual mentor to students, modeling a Christ-like life, integrating biblical truth into all subject areas, and initiating prayer in the classroom.
Curriculum & Instruction: Deliver engaging, comprehensive lesson plans for core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) aligned with the Indiana academic standards.
Classroom Management: Establish a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive student behavior and mutual respect.
Student Assessment: Regularly assess student progress through various methods, keeping accurate records, and updating our online grading system weekly.
Parent Partnership: Foster proactive, open communication with parents regarding academic progress and social-emotional growth.
Community Engagement: Participate in staff meetings, chapel services, and school events.
Qualifications
Faith: A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian education.
Statement of Faith: Agreement with our school’s Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Education.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education preferred or the ability to obtain ACSI Credentialing.
