Barista

Overview

Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.

2. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

4. Ability to stand for long periods of time

5. Knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages is a plus.

6. Must have a friendly and outgoing personality.

7. Ability to engage with families and children in a welcoming and inclusive way.

8. Must be able to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for families and kids.

9. Must be patient and understanding when interacting with children.

10. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

11. Food handler’s permit or certification may be required.

12. Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording

 

Responsibilities:

– Review and fill customer orders, handle food safely, and maintain a clean work area

– Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members

– Report to District Store Director, Store Manager, and Assistant Managers

– Provide prompt and friendly customer service by treating customers with care and patience

– Greet customers with a smile and assist them in finding products

– Take customer orders at the counter and over the phone

– Work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant environment

– Maintain food freshness and ensure adequate supply on hand

– Prepare and replenish products as needed

– Operate registers and handle payment transactions

– Maintain cleanliness and adhere to personal hygiene and dress guidelines

– Follow company policies and store guidelines

– Wash dishes, order supplies, price products, and assist in other areas of the store

– Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
