Overview

South Bend Code School’s after-school programs serve students in grades 2–12, building real
skills in coding, AI, and digital problem-solving through hands-on, project-based work.
The Program Support Assistant is the person who helps make the program flow smoothly.
You’re the first face families see at check-in and the last one they see at pickup. If you like being
the person who helps hold the operation together this is the role for you.

Program Details

  • Location: South Bend Tech Resource Center (1165 Franklin St #100, South Bend, IN
    46601)
  • Schedule: 6-week cohort | Sept. 28th – Nov. 11, 2026 (No classes the week of Oct. 19th)
    ○ 5:00 – 6:30 PM EST / 4:15 PM Arrival
    ○ Mondays: Grades 2 – 6
    ○ Wednesdays: Grades 7 – 12
  • Training: paid 3 hour session (dates and times confirmed upon hire)
  • Time Commitment: ~16 hrs total across the 6-week cohort (class time, setup/teardown,
    training
    ○ 45 min setup + teardown per class
    ○ 90 min class time per class

Compensation

  • $350 for the 6-week track (Mondays or Wednesdays). Work both days and earn $700 for the
    full cohort. Paid training included.

Your Role as a Program Support Assistant

  • Run check-in and check-out each session, verifying authorized pickup and keeping
    accurate attendance records
  • Prepare, organize, and restock program materials before and during sessions
  • Capture photos during class for program records, marketing, and family communications
  • Serve as a warm, informed point of contact for parents/guardians — answering
    day-to-day questions and helping promote upcoming SBCS programming
  • Collaborate with mentors and SBCS staff to keep sessions running safely and smoothly
